Trainee Island Guide
RAPPELZ, THE BEGINNING OF A GREAT ADVENTURE!
1. OK, I HAVE A WAY2BIT ACCOUNT AND NOW WHAT?
After launching the game you will have to use the magical keys (ID and password) to unlock the mighty doors that will lead you in Rappelz. Remember to activate your account, using the link that you received in the registration mail before trying to access the game!
2. CREATE YOUR ALTER EGO
After logging in you will have to create your character. The world of Rappelz is ruled by three races: Asura, Deva and Gaia. Take your time, read carefully their characteristics and choose wisely your destiny in the fantastic world that is waiting for you
3. TRAINEE ISLAND
“This is Trainee Island. It was founded by the Third Assembly of Heroes to rehabilitate wounded veterans and promote friendship among the races. Of course, if the other races weren't so weak they wouldn't need a place like this. Take advantage of the utter lack of danger here and learn all you can about combat so you can subjugate the other races when you reach the mainland.”
4. STARTING AS AN ASURA! THE FIRST QUEST.
The reality will slowly vanish and you will be shrouded in magic that will move you in “Dusk Veil” the starting point of your race. This is the first location that you will visit, move your first steps forward] to find your mentor:
Double-click with the mouse on this character and start a conversation. Read all the information in the conversation menu, always very important to do that, and accept your first quest: “Asura's First Hunt”
After accepting your first quest a new window will appear. Observe very well, you will have 4 very important buttons, to move through the pages of your quest assignment “Next” and “Back” and in the low left-corner of the quest window “Reject” and “Accept”, the last one is always the good button to press! If you press “Next” you will see what to do to complete the quest; in this case “Hunt 3 Opuds and report to Guide Arocel.” Look around you, the targets of the quest are nearby and surrounding you!
After accepting the quest, our good “Guide Arocel” will give you some good advices and explanation, listen to him very well! Don’t be a noob!
Now, let’s go to hunt down some evil beasts! You will see that after killing your first enemy you will level up , how cool! If you press Alt+Q you will open the Quests Menu that will help you in keeping under control the status of your mission! After killing 3 Opuds you will complete the Quest and the status in the Quest Window will change. It’s time to come back and discuss the results with our Guide… but where is him? OMG I’m lost! Calm down, easy, move the mouse cursor on the right upper corner of your screen, on the mini-map, a full map will appear, well, you are the arrow and the yellow-sun icon is “Guide Arocel” or in the future your target for a complete quest.
After starting a new conversation with Guide Arocel to complete the Quest, new entries in the conversation menu will be activated. Take the time to read them, are very helpful for your progress in game. When you are ready to complete the quest just click on the first entry in the conversation menu “Asura's First Hunt”.
The quest details window will appear but this time the coolest of the button will be displayed: “Complete”. As rewards in a quest you will have a “Basic” reward that you cannot decide and a “Choice” of an item that you can obtain. After selecting your preferred weapon as reward press the button “Complete”.
The Guide Arocel will give you other advices, read them, and your next quest: “Let's learn basic skills.”
“Let's learn basic skills”: in this quest you will have to learn the passive skill “Body Training Lv1”.
To perform this operation press Alt+S on your keyboard and access the Skills window, on the right menu press the little up arrow below the icon of the skill that you will see as a question mark. Job done! You can complete the quest. Speak with the Guide to continue! Remember to read all the advices that the Guide will give you. Check for new entries in the conversation menu. You are in Trainee Island for a reason, don’t forget it!
“Asura's Claw Collection”: this is the good moment to learn how important is to always pick up your drop. Check the details of the quest; as you can see you’ll have to kill Opuds but this time to collect their drop, a quest item called: “Opud's Claw”. Look around and select as target the first Opud and continue to hunt them down until you have 3 “Opud's Claw”.
Remember that you can easily collect all the items that drops from a mob by pressing Space on your keyboard. When you have all the items complete the quest speaking with the Guide and enjoy the nice rewards!
5. STARTING AS AN DEVA! THE FIRST QUEST.
For the general information and to know how the quest system works in Rappelz, we invite you to go back to point 4 “3. Starting as an Asura! The first quest.”
The Deva starting point in Trainee Island is the “Temple of Astraeus”. It’s a wonderful location surrounded by green hills and if you turn your back you’ll see your guardian and inspiratory in a mighty gigantic statue.
Just move forward, south-east of your starting position, it’s time to meet your Guide, Eusys.
Double-click with the left mouse button on him and start a conversation. Accept your first quest as a Deva: “Deva's First Hunt”. You will have to hunt down 3 Luminous Ping, just look around; your target is very close.

6. STARTING AS A GAIA! THE FIRST QUEST.
For the general information and to know how the quest system works in Rappelz, we invite you to go back to point 4 “3. Starting as an Asura! The first quest.”
The Gaia starting point in Trainee Island is the “Tree of Life”. You will understand the meaning of the word Gaia exploring this amazing location. Nature is growing wild and you can sense the ground under you pulsating and alive.
Just move forward, east of your starting position, it’s time to meet your Guide, Canopus.
Double-click with the left mouse button on him and start a conversation. Accept your first quest as a Gaia: “Gaia's First Hunt”. You will have to hunt down 3 “Little Roosters”, just look around; your target is very close.

7. TRAINEE ISLAND QUESTS.
The first three quests are different for each race but from the fourth your destiny will be same: purge the evil from the land of Rappelz. You have to be prepared and ready for the fight! The only way to do that is complete Trainee Island fully and learn as much as you can. Let’s continue with the quests!
“Go to an Elementary Tutor”: Your Race Guide (Arocel, Eusys or Canopus) after completing quest 3, will send you to an Elementary Tutor “Sistina”. Let’s find him together.
Tutor Sistina is in the location called “Elementary Tutor Camp”. Depending on your race you will have to follow a different direction to reach the target of your mission. Have a look to the map (move the mouse cursor on the right upper corner of your screen, on the mini-map, a full map will appear):
Start a conversation with Sistina and complete the quest to obtain a reward.
“Achieve Job Level 3”: you will have to reach Job Level 3 in this quest. If you did all the previous quests correctly you should be ready to go, otherwise hunt other creatures to obtain Job Points. Press Alt+S on your keyboard to open the Skill Windows. You will see a button called “JLv” press it to convert your job points into Job levels until you reach lvl 3. Speak again with the tutor for the next quest.
“A Skilled Asura, Deva or Gaia”: the name of this mission will change accordingly to your race but the objectives are the same, learn the basic skills! You will have to learn the following skills: Smite Lv 1, Offense Training Lv 1, and Defense Training Lv 1. Do you remember the mission “Let’s learn basic skills”, the second one that you completed? The system to learn the new skills is the same you will just need Job Points, to obtain some… Hunt!
As reward for this mission you will receive your first mount an “Ornitho for Trainees”. To equip it, open your inventory (Alt+I) and double click on the icon of the item. Remember that you can always use the quick bar after drag and dropping the icon of the “Ornitho for Trainees” in one of the slots available.
“Talk to Gildas”: congratulation! Your training is going great and you are becoming faster and stronger. Now it’s time to move to the next trainer: “Mentor Gildas”.
Let’s have a look to the map: you’ll have to go east in the first village that you will encounter in Rappelz. Mentor Gildas is waiting for you!
Welcome to “Trainee Town”! Speak with Mentor Gildas and complete the mission. Before to activate the next quest: “First Class Transfer” complete and obtain the reward for the actual quest.
“First Class Transfer”: the first quest that you will receive from Gildas it’s very simple, you will have to find Deneb and discuss with him the next steps of your training. As said since the beginning of this guide it’s very important that you check and read all the content in the conversation menus activated by the trainers. Don’t forget it!
You will find Deneb upstairs, on the south part of the town. Check the arrow on the map:
Check all the entries in the conversation menu because our good Schrire will explain to you in which way LAK can be used. Talk to her and complete the conversation. As reward for this quest you will receive a “Chaos Necklace”, you’ll find in your inventory (Alt+I) equip it immediately and it will start to collect LAK from killed mobs randomly. Talk to Schrire again for the next quest.
“Gain 1 lak”: in this quest you will have to practice with LAK farming, an activity connected with hunting mobs, a lot of fun! Let’s check the new quest together. You have to go out of Trainee Town and kill some mobs until you obtain 1 LAK. Just choose your location. We suggest going south, out from the south door of the town and killing some Fulmar or Rock Turtle. When you have 1 LAK go back to Lak Trader Schrire, talk to her obtain your reward and accept the next quest.
“Report to Gildas”: to complete this quest you have to come back downstairs to Gildas and talk to him, to continue with your training. Run to him, obtain your reward and complete the quest. Talk to him to have the next assignment.
“Item Upgrade”: with this quest you will learn how to upgrade your items. It’s a very important part of the game and you need to understand it very well. Let’s check the quest details:
To upgrade your weapon you need to visit “Blacksmith Thanael”. Continue the conversation with Gildas, checking the other entries of the conversation menu and you will learn more. You can find Thanael in the south of II floor of the Village, check the arrow on the map:
After starting the conversation with Thanael, follow his instructions and select your main weapon and upgrade it. It will cost some Rupi, if you did all the quests before without buying anything, you should have the amount needed. The quest will be completed, come back to Gildas for the reward. Talk to him for the next quest.
“Merchant's Request”: with this quest Gildas will send you to Merchant Zapang. To complete the quest you will have just to talk to him. You can find the merchant on the I floor in the south-east of the square. Let’s check the map:
Talk with Zapang and complete the quest. Talk with him again for the next mission.
"Herb Collecting”: finally after all this talking a bit of exploration. Our dear Merchant Zapang will send us to collect “5 Herbs of Eternal Youth” from “East Field of Trainee Town”. Let’s check the map together:
Going back to the town square, go to east, and use the east entrance to go out of town. Follow the road down the hill, at your left you will find the herbs. Double-click on them to collect until you have 5 of them. Come back to Zapang to obtain your reward (if you want, you can kill few mobs before). To obtain your next quest you will have to talk with Gildas, in the town square.
“: finally it’s the moment to learn about pets! Mentor Gildas will send you to talk to Summoner Rudmiyu, you can find her on the north-east area of the town, II floor. Have a look to the map:
Talk to Rudmiyu to obtain your reward and for the next quest.
“Learning taming”: read all the information that the Summoner provides you, are very important! To complete this quest you will have to learn the following skills: 1) Creature Control, 2) Creature Taming, 3) Summon Creature. To do that, press Alt+S. In the Skills windows you will not see the skills active but if you hover-over the skills question mark icons you will see the skill description appearing in a tooltip. Now, to unlock the first skill “Creature Control” you will have to check the Job Level required, in this case 5 and if you have it just learn the skill if you don’t convert your EXP in Job level points using the button in the left window (JL). To learn the next skills you will need a Job Level of 8 and 10. If you don’t have enough EXP to convert kill few mobs. Remember that to help you level up faster there is a nice item called “Stamina Saver” in the shop, in your inventory you should have also a “Trainee's Stamina Saver”, use it when killing mobs when your stamina bar is orange!
Now that you have more exp to convert in Job Level learn the new skills! Talk to Summoner Rudmiyu to obtain your reward. Your first Pet Card, choose wisely!
As reward you will receive also a very important item, the “The Illustrated Guide to Creature Taming”. Double click on the item in your inventory to learn how to tame a pet! Read it all!!! Talk to Rudmiyu for your next quest!
“Report to Gildas”: to complete this quest you will just have to talk with Gildas. Talk to him and obtain your reward.
“Integra's Words: Revelation”: before to continue with Gildas quests, let’s first have a chat with “Zealot Integra”. Let’s check the map together to find her:
She is in the south part of the town, II floor. She will send you to kill 3 Longtail Opuds. They are in the same area where you found the herbs. It’s time to try to tame your first pet. Good luck! If you manage to tame a pet, summon it immediately and start to lvl up with him. Remember to use the command attack with pet (Ctrl + selected target and click with mouse). Come back to Zealot to obtain your reward. Talk again with her for the next quest!
“Integra's Words: Glory”: this time Zealot will send you in a difficult hunt mission, you will have to kill 5 Nimble Roosters and 3 Blue Wolf Pups. You will find the Blue Wolf Pups in the same area that you visited with the previous quest. To hunt down the Nimble Roosters you will have to travel a bit more north, let’s check the map:
After hunting down all the targets come back to Zealot to obtain your reward. It’s time to meet “Trainee Ivan”.
" Voice of Truth”: you will have to travel north, go out of town using the north door, follow the way up to the hill Ivan is waiting for you. Check the map:
You will have to kill 5 Sturdy Rooster and 3 Wolf Pup, look around they are just nearby. If you don’t find the Sturdy Rooster travel a bit more north from Ivan position. Hunt them down and come back to him. Talk to Trainee Ivan to obtain your reward. It’s time to come back to “Mentor Gildas”.
“Go to an advanced instructor”: Gildas will send you to meet “Master Lancelot”, it’s quite a trip, use your Ornito! To find him you will have to travel north, back to Trainee Ivan position, continue following the way in the middle of the mountains until you reach a crossway. Take north again (your left) pass the beach continuing going north, you will find Lancelot on a platform on your left. Let’s check the map together:
Talk to Master Lancelot to obtain your reward! Check all the entries of the conversation menu; it contains very important information for your training. Talk to him again to obtain your next quest.
“Demonstrate Your Skill”: Lancelot will give you the hard task to hunt down 2 Nimble Wolf Pup, 3 Sunset Ginko Turtle and 5 Handsome Kenta Junior. You will find your targets around you or travelling a bit more north. Remember that you have to use all your skills and your pet skills and your equipment must be always updated to your current lvl. Check always if you picked up from the drops better items and equip them. The mobs in this area are quite tough! If you are encountering difficulties ask for help in chat or join a Guild to lvl up with some friends! After killing the beasts come back to Lancelot for your reward!
Remember that if you have problems in defeating a mob you can start with lower lvl targets, when you click to select a mob you will see his level, avoid red names mobs for the moment! Don’t forget that you have also the chips in your inventory, use them! Lvl up a bit more, improve your equipment and try again!
Come back to the town, sell all the stuff that you don’t need to a Merchant, like Zapang, and upgrade your equipment. Prepare yourself because the next quests are going to be tough! After completing these operations talk to Deneb!
“Class Transfer Test”: you will find Deneb in the east part of Trainee Town, II floor, close to Zealot Integra. Talk to him, accept the quest and you will be teleported in the location. Talk to Trainee OB Tristan and obtain your reward. Talk to him again to start the next quest.
“Catch Anatema”: this is one of the toughest quests in Trainee Island, Anatemas are quite hard to defeat and will be your first field boss. Ask help for this mission, create a party and kill the Anatema! It’s fun! You will find “Rocky Mountain Anatema” in the north-east area of the Island, called “Ginko Grove”. After killing the target come back to Trainee OB Tristan to obtain your reward. Talk to him again for the next quest.
“Report to Deneb”: come back to Deneb, in Trainee Town, you know already the way. Talk to her to obtain your reward, read all the entries in the conversation menu. You will have to choose your class, it is a very important moment of your Rappelz life, choose wisely! Talk to her again for the next quest.
“Reporting first job transfer to Gildas”: to complete this quest you will have to come back to our friend Gildas and talk to him. Don’t forget your reward! Come back to Master Lancelot for the next quest! Good travel!
“Tristan's urgent request”: Lancelot will send you to help Tristan! Go and talk to him, he is in front of his bungalow on the “Coast of Burning Sand”. Talk to him again for the next quest, after obtaining your reward.
“Screening”: Tristan will send you to hunt down 3 Great Roosters and 2 Large Great Roosters. You will find your targets inside “Road of Ill Fortune” the Large Great Roosters are in the north part of the area, “Black Haven”, and the 3 Great Roosters are in the south part. Be careful in these locations there are very strong mobs, if you have issues in surviving remember your training! Call for help and create a party or lvl up a bit more and try again if you want to solo it.
The area is located in the north part of the Island, just travel north from Tristan position and you will find it. Have a look to the map:
After killing the mobs come back to Tristan to obtain your reward. Talk to him again for your next quest.
“Attack of the Worm Piranhas”: Tristan in this mission will ask your help to kill some nasty Piranha just close to his bungalow, on the “Coast of Burning Sand”. You have to hunt down 5 Worm Piranha and 2 Nimble Worm Piranha. Kill them and come back to Tristan, should be a fast mission! Talk to him to obtain your reward. Talk to him again for the next quest, it’s going to be hard!
“Wanted”: in this quest you will have to kill a field boss: “Boss Worm Piranha”. Ask for help and create a party, you can also try to solo it but is going to be a very tough challenge! You will find the boss, on the beach in front of Tristan’s house, close to the water.
Come back to Tristan and to talk to him to obtain your deserved reward! You are starting to be a real adventurer! If you will receive items that cannot be used at the moment due to your low level don’t throw them away! You are going to need them very soon, save them in your inventory or in your warehouse. Come back to “Road of Ill Fortune” and look for Low Priest Rubin.
“Brighton's Calling: Dawn”: you will find “Low Priest Rubin” close to the beginning of “Road of Ill Fortune”, have a look to the map:
To complete this quest you will have to kill 7 Black Angels and 4 Black Assassins. Be careful because they will attack you as soon you are in range (red name mobs), and they are many! You will find them in “Black Haven” close to your actual location, in the north. Kill them and come back to Rubin for the reward. Talk to “Magician Shull”, it’s close to Rubin, for the next quest.
“Brighton's Calling: Dusk”: to complete this quest you should be at least lvl. 15 and do it with a good party, it’s time to meet “Baron Madius” the strongest boss on Trainee Island! You will find him in “Kenta Valley”, extreme north east part of the Island, accessible through “Road of Ill Fortune”. Have a look to the map, check the arrow:
Come back to Magician Shull to obtain your deserved reward! For the next quest you need to lvl up more, reach at least lvl 18, kill few mobs if you aren’t ready! Come back to Master Lancelot position for the next quests.
“Entering Navislamia”: this quest will start the line that will lead you to your first Dungeon! If you reached this point, you are ready for the epic fight that is waiting you inside the cursed ship! To start these quests talk to "Captain Fedora”, he is close to Lancelot. Fedora will send you to talk to one of the guard on the deck of the ship. To access this location, travel east of your position and reach the beach. Have a look to the map:
You will find a floating dock with two guards and the portal to access the ship!
Visit it if you want to know the treasures and the deadly challenges that are waiting you and your friends inside this magic portal! Before to continue with the next quest, make sure that you complete all the quests in Navislamia and that you reach lvl 20. Come back to Lancelot and talk to him!
"Final training session”: congratulations! You made it! You finished your training, all Rappelz is proud of you! Talk with Lancelot and accept the quest, it’s time to visit the main continent. Come back to Trainee Town and talk to “Teleporter Authier” in the middle of the square close to the fountain.
Talk to him to obtain your reward! Talk to him again for the next quest.
“To the continent!”: Authier, depending on your race, will send you to your main city to visit a Guide. If you are a Gaia you will go to Horizon to visit Guide Sage. If you are an Asura you will go to Katan to visit Guide Mephist. If you are a Deva you will go to Laksy to visit Guide Prometh. To travel to your destination, talk again with Teleporter Authier and select your city, to use the teleport you wil need few Rupi!.
